The Declaration of Well-being

Strong forces are assembled
Everyday ten thousands of school children in Denmark are exposed to bullying. This is totally unacceptable. The Declaration of Well-being emphasizes that all strong forces are assembled to work together with focus on the elimination of bullying and increased well-being in the primary schools through-out the country.

A collaboration not seen before
A formal collaboration between the organisations of pupils, teachers, managers, pedagogues, parents, and politicians within this area has not been seen in Denmark so far. But now that all main actors within the primary school area have signed the Declaration of Well-being on the 10th of March 2004 this collaboration is a reality.

Strengthen and coordinate the effort
The parties of the Declaration of Well-being have committed themselves to strengthen and coordinate the existing and future efforts of ensuring a good and bullying-free educational environment for pupils. It is expected that this collaboration will lead to new specific initiatives of prevention and elimination of bullying and general improvement of the social well-being of the pupils.
